This weekend I did a wedding cake and 250 cupcakes for a very cute couple. As I was working on this I couldn't stop thinking about how much they reminded me of me and my wonderful husband. They are a young cute couple and I am thankful I got the chance to work for them. Congratulations and may your next 12 1/2 years be as wonderful as mine have been.

The top tier is a moist chocolate fudge cake with a delicious classic buttercream. The bottom tier is a 3 layer lime cake with lime buttercream. Covered in fondant that is just as yummy as the cake. They also chose 5 flavors for the cupcakes. Red velvet cake with classic buttercream, Chocolate fudge cake with classic buttercream, Lime cake with Key lime buttercream, Fresh peach cake with peach frosting, and French vanilla cake with chocolate ganache frosting.

Dance Fundraiser

My wonderful 11 year old is obsessed with dance. She has decided to do a fundraiser to help pay for a solo. She is selling bread for $2.00 a loaf. She makes the bread on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and delivers on Friday and Saturday or as arranged. If you would like to help a girl who is trying to help herself please leave a comment or g-mail me. Thanks and I am very proud of her.

Newest flavor on Top

This is the newest flavor on the Top. It is a chocolate peppermint cupcake with peppermint candycane buttercream. If you are interested in these for neighbor gifts or gifts for your office you can contact me by G-mail.

A boy and his toys

This was a cake for a very dear friends son. He turned 17 and loves Boston creme Pie. So I made a Boston creme cake topped with a few of his favorite things. All of the items on the top are handmade. The money was a little tricky I tried to get the real money affect but kept ending up with a big green mess, so I just tinted the fondant green and called that one good. I also made a cell phone, car keys (one is a Harley Davidson key), and an Ipod that has a crack in it. Happy Birthday Trevor.

Roses

This was a birthday cake for a Grandma who likes it simple. She always had fresh cut roses on the sunday dinner table so I made a classic white cake with a classic buttercream frosting. I also put some red handmade roses I made out of gum paste. This cake also was my first almost disaster cake. I always hear about people dropping cakes on the way to deliveries and this one came close. My husband was helping me on the delivery and I gave the cake to him to take to the car and all of the sudden I heard "OH CRAP" from the garage and in he walks with a nice finger mark in my perfectly iced cake. After trying to fix I couldn't get it as perfect as it was going into the garage.

Football Take

The cutest little boy with long red locks has been asking for a "nummy football take" since I made the BYU one for his older brother. So this chocolate fudge cake covered with chocolate ganache was especially for him.

buttercream crazy

This was for one of the cutest girls ever. She loves buttercream but I wanted her to try my homemade fondant, so I added some whimsical circles. I also made matching cupcakes with a circle and a T. Hope you had a fun birthday.

Monster Mash

This cake was made to match the paper they used for the invitations. The 3D figures are made out of fondant. I love to custom match items for a personalized look. This was for a first birthday. I also did a special smash cake.

Hello Kitty

This cake was yellow dyed pink for a little one turning 4. The fondant was pink and white marbled. Tons of fun to make. Happy Birthday

Princess Tiara

Every princess needs a tiara. This was my first handmade tiara. This was a chocolate cake with princess buttercream icing. I airbrushed purple and pink and covered it with fondant stars. I topped it with the tiara. I also made a BYU cake for her dad. Happy Birtday guys.

Rubber duckie you're the one

Except this duckie is made out of chocolate candy. The cupcakes and smash cake are strawberry cake. The little guy that got to enjoy this cake ate almost the entire thing. His dad also informed me that he ate 2/3rds of the duckie.

See "U" in 2012

This was a chocolate fudge football cake for a missionary farewell.

Football season is upon us.

The men are taking over the top! Football season is quickly approaching. This is a BYU cake I did for a birthday. The flavor was a white cake dyed blue to support his team.

BYU Groom's cake

This is a Just Peachy two tiered cake. The bottom is a 9" and the top is a football. The football is set at an angle so the hand carved couger would sit on the 50 yard line. I tried to do upgrade the football by sculpting it into an actual football curve, it was a little tricky getting the fondant on. Covering a sphere shape is the hardest shape to cover. Congrats to the bride and groom. I also made 25 big flowers and 75 small flowers for cupcake toppers. Thanks for letting me take part in your special day.
